QA and Validation have distincts roles

QA and Validation have distincts roles, as follows:

QA is responsible for:

Review and approve the execution of computer system validation
documentation, to include: validation plans, requirements documentation,
design and development documentation, test scripts, qualification
protocols, final reports. Review and approve Standard Operating Procedures
associated with the planning, development and operation of one system.
Conduct and participate in audits or evaluations of software suppliers,
system developers, and validation contractors. Review and oversee the
execution of necessary validation documentation in support of change
requests that impact validated systems. Review, analyze and evaluate
qualification results, determine acceptability, and ensure that test
exceptions and protocol deviations are properly documented and corrected.
Ensures that the cGxP requirements are satisfied.

While Validation is reponsible for:

Manage validation of computer systems based on business objectives and the
interpretation of applicable federal and international regulations,
industry standards and guidelines that pertain to the validation of GxP
systems. Complete the authoring, review and execution of System
Development Life Cycle and validation documentation. Review, analyze and
evaluate qualification results, determine acceptability, and ensure that
test exceptions and protocol deviations are properly documented and
corrected. Further oversee the re-qualification testing resulting from
deviations and corrective actions. Review, evaluation and approval of
standard operating procedures established to maintain a system in a
validated state. Review and oversee the execution of necessary validation
documentation in support of change requests that impact validated systems.

But of course that both must work together and be in the same page.
